THE FESTIVAL

Eletronika Festival since 1999, brings to Belo Horizonte what is best in the world of music - reflections and artistic - incorporating behavior and trends that revolve around music and contemporary life: art, technology, urban planning, ecology.
This year, following its tradition of exchanges with other countries, the central theme is the Americas from Canada to Argentina, charting new musical trends of these different contexts.

The idea of the festival was born at the turn of the millennium, when the years 2000 and provocative meaning that a new millennium brings showed a scenario where technology has conquered new spaces, both real and virtual. This spirit is still that of Eletronika: To connect the music to new ideas, new behaviors. Expand. Seeking the new, the best of the new in the world that we live and want to live.

At issue in November 2010, the Eletronika happens in partnership with Live arte.mov: International Festival of Art in Mobile Media, bridging the best of electronic music and art made with and for portable media such as mobile phones, digital cameras, GPS, among others.
