Since 1999, the Eletronika - Festival of New Music Trends, presents insights and trends related to music.
That year, the world was going through significant transformations. On the eve of a possible millennium bug, rose Matrix, a film whose theme is the struggle of humans around 2200 in order to rid the area of machines that evolved after the advent of Artificial Intelligence. That was also Napster, which became the turning point in file sharing P2P network, the protagonist of the first great episode in the legal struggle between the recording industry and file-sharing networks for music on the Internet.
Wrestling share, in Belo Horizonte, I, Marcos Boffa, Jefferson Santos, Israel and the Valley Botellho our dear Harold, who left us early, We dedicated in the 1st edition of a festival ruled by new trends: music, audiovisuals and technology.
We were, perhaps not the exact notion of the case, performing a precursor event of its kind. Five areas were chosen for the first edition. In Sawmill Souza Pinto, site of the central planning of the event, also had a fashion fair with top designers beginning their careers, today's major icons of the industry.
Following issues came and went, one by one, are dedicated to exchanges with other countries (Canada, Spain, France), with the artistic program and search for sites that promote the architectural revitalization of Belo Horizonte.

After all these years, we are again on the eve of a new turn of the decade, seeking to reinvent the festival, committed to our audiences to promote new artists, to maintain space for reflection, and dialogue with new languages
In this issue we take the year France in Brazil as a central theme of the programming. Inspired by Les Transmusicales de Rennes, we have scheduled four spaces, 104 Cultural Center (Forum, Laboratory, Coffee, professional area), Deputamadre, The Work and Velvet for Eletronika Club.

Belo Horizonte in November receive another edition of Eletronika, an event that features the Brazilian public national and international groups who flirt with the electronic genre. Besides music, the festival brings in its lineup, ranging from 05 to 07.11 days, other events like movie screenings, workshops and a series of thoughtful discussions about Brazilian music.

Celebrating the Year of France in Brazil, Eletronika brings in its lineup of shows four prominent international attractions: Birdy Nam Nam, Anoraak, Minitel Rose and Rubin Steiner.

The Brazilian scene, the festival selected groups exponents in the national stage as Black Drawing Chalks (GO), Copacabana Club (PR) and Swedish Girls (SP). Among the attractions are the capital of Minas Gerais, stands at the event of the Dead Lover's Twisted Heart and Virna Lisi, a famous rock band of the 90 independent, who returns to the stage after more than 10 years without live shows.

The Eletronika 2009 focuses most of its programming in Space 104, revitalized warehouse in downtown Belo Horizonte, which will house during the days of the event of the festival multimedia activities such as workshops for audio and video, debates, film and live musical performances interact with the public and audiovisual installations.
